CONGENITAL ABNORMALITY

Polydactyle is an abnormal development in the foot.  It usually affects the toes with the latter numbering more than the usual number in normal people.  Polydactyle is a congenital abnormality traceable to dorminantly inherited gene. It affects the tarsal bones as well as the the phalanx.  It is a major cause of limb deformity in a significant but very few people. It can be surgically resected.
